Dr. Ercan Kiraz – Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Turkey
Keynote Speech Title: Trends of Education: Steering a future from the past

Ercan Kiraz is a professor of Curriculum and Instruction at Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Department of Educational Sciences. He completed his M.Sc. in 1993, and Ph.D. in 1997 in Curriculum Development and Special Education field at the University of Southern California, Waite Phillips Hall School of Education, in the USA. During his graduate studies, he concentrated on pre and in-service teacher education, interactive learning, academic collegiality, curriculum development, instructional design, and teaching modeling. Professor Kiraz believes that in the center of learning process a main emphasis should be placed on developing special learning environments that reveal active learning and cognitive movements. For this, he conducted researches in the areas of school architecture and learning ergonomics, multiple intelligences theory, blended learning, active learning, educational ideologies, educational technology, and qualitative research techniques. In 2011-2012 he was a visiting senior scholar of Fulbright at Arizona State University and completed research on instructional design approaches. He also supervised many M.Sc. thesis and Ph.D. dissertations in those areas.

Keynote Speech Title: The economic geography as a behavioural science

Kosyo Stoychev is the head of department in Economic and Social Geography Regional Development and Policy in St. Kliment Sofia University, Bulgaria.

 

 

 


Dr. Corina Daba-Buzoianu – SNSPA, Romania
Keynote Speech Title: Inquiring communication as a field in Romania

Corina Daba-Buzoianu is an associate professor at the National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA). She has a PhD in the epistemology of image and she was a postdoctoral researcher in Communication, studying Qualitative Research in Communication. In 2011 she was a visiting researcher at University of Amsterdam. Since 2009, Corina Daba-Buzoianu published articles, book chapters, books and volumes on identity, image and representation. Since 2013, her research is focused on the study of qualitative research in communication and on the development of communication as a filed in Romania.
